We found the house to be just as described by other visitors. Everything was very nice and comfortable, we could have stayed inside our entire trip. As noted in other reviews, the rooms and gathering spaces were even better than the online pictures. The six of us hope to return in the future.

Beautiful home in great location
We stayed at this house over Thanksgiving. As another reviewer said, the pictures do not do this house justice. All of the bathrooms are high-end and beautiful as is the kitchen. There are several areas to lounge and take in the views. The water can be viewed from the living room, both decks and the upstairs sitting room. The house is directly across from beach access and only a few blocks from the shops and restaurants in Folly. We're already looking forward to renting this property again.

Absolutely stunning place. Beautiful ocean views from two of the three porches, as well as the living areas and master bathroom. The pictures don't do this place justice. Everything is brand new. Fast internet. We loved it.

Had everything I wanted and more. It was very nice to have a bathroom attached to the main bedroom and not have to share it with the kids. Check in was super easy and anytime we had questions there was always somebody to answer the phone with help. I would stay here again.

The best house in Folly Beach! Beautifully renovated, lots of space and perfect location. It is right across the street from a public beach access and a very short walk to the downtown area with lots of cute stores and delicious restaurants. We will be staying here again!

I highly recommend staying at this house! It’s perfect in every way. It’s Right across from the beach, a perfect distance to walk into town and the house is clean and new. We would use the beach to walk into town instead of walking on the road. Nothing better than having a short walk home after eating delicious seafood! The beds are very comfortable and the AC worked amazing. I can’t wait to stay here again!!

The house was a perfect place for our family to decompress after the hectic holiday season. We took bike rides up and down and around the island roads, and walks on the beach. The house was clean, convenient, and quiet. When we first arrived, we were approached by a neighbor warning us to park in the right direction on the road or we might get a ticket. He probably saved us $100 :). We would stay here again! Lovely house!

We loved the house. It was spotless and comfortable. Location and access to beautiful beach was fantastic. Other than having problems with all three televisions due to misplaced remotes, faulty cable box, and battery corrosion made watching TV disappointing. We would definitely go back to this home again.

We had a ball! This place is exactly what it says. You walk across the street and on to the beach. We will rent this place again but we are bringing a tv for the downstairs bar, lol! Our dog had such a great time going to the beach for the first time!

Aluha Review
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aluha. The house is comfortable, stylishly decorated, immaculately clean, and best of all--pet-friendly! We enjoyed breakfast on the screened porch and late afternoons on the deck. Beach access is right across the street. We admired the original artwork throughout the house. I highly recommend this property!

We really enjoyed our stay at Aluha. The beach access is right across the street, which was great in case we forgot anything we could run back quick and grab it. It was also less than a mile to center street so easy to do food pickups by scooter, golf cart or car. The beach was a little less crowded where we were versus the Center street area as well. The drive into downtown was about 25 minutes, which was convenient. The house was clean and comfortable, had some cards and games, the ping pong table was fun, and the front sunroom and porch were nice. The ping pong area is screened in and was cold (in March) and would probably be great in summer to avoid the heat but still be basically outside. We would consider staying here again. The only down side for us was having kids trying to sleep while the adults were still up. With one floor and only one wall separating the kids from us it was hard to not disturb them...not a problem if you have a group going to bed at the same time.

You can see the ocean from a lovely, updated kitchen! The house is even better than the images show. There are multiple seating areas, inside and outside. I've already told my friends to rent this house. I wish we would have booked longer so we could play more corn hole and pingpong. We took our dog and really appreciated the large yard and very quick beach access for his walks. The front stairs are very gentle if you have climbing concerns. And, Folly has really upgraded since the last time we stayed there.

Our family (6 adults and a 2 year old) had a great time at Aluha! We couldn't have picked a better location than this house. Right across the street from the beach! The house was very clean and tidy. We were all very comfortable staying there. It was a first for all of us visiting Charleston and Folly Beach and it's now a favorite. We all loved the area and the laid back beach town vibes. Renting the golf carts was a great idea and a perfect and fun way to get around. We hope to come back again one day.

My two girlfriends and I stayed in this great house for 5 days in March. the house is great! It doesn't wow you from the outside, but it is great inside. It has been completely redone and is very tasteful, comfortable and very roomy. We enjoyed morning coffee in the sunny front room and enjoyed cocktails on the back porch in the afternoons. The kitchen is awesome and soooo well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, gadgets and whatever else a visitor might have in their own kitchen at home. The bathrooms are both very nicely updated and decorated. The beach is right across the street and readily accessible. Great oak trees in the yard! The staff at Folly's Best Rentals paid us a welcome visit and were all very nice and professional. A couple of them actually said this house was one of their favorites! We would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great place to stay with reasonable rates. Well done!

You will not regret renting this home for your vacation! It is s wonderful combination of a great location and a beautiful home! You can tell that the home has been recently renovated and the design choices were all well thought out. The kitchen is well appointed and open to the Living & Dining Rooms. What is amazing is even with the open concept, there are still so many other great spaces-front porch, sunroom, and screened in porch-that offer great options to hang out in! There were so many touches that instantly made us feel comfortable. Also, the location is ideal--just a short walk across the street to the beach access, making it so easy to come home for lunch or just a break from the beach. It is also close to town, we enjoyed walking into town one morning for breakfast. This was our first trip to Folly Beach and to Aluha--we can't wait to come back!

If you are on the fence about booking this place, DO IT! It was the best Airbnb experience we have ever had and we’ve stayed at a number of them. The pictures and descriptions looked awesome when we booked it, but when we showed up, the place and our experience with Folly’s Best exceeded our expectations. The location right across the street from the beach and walk-in beach access was perfect. The space was sparkling clean and super stylish. We loved going out to explore but the house was so great that we enjoyed staying in just as much. Plenty of different places in the house to hang out and relax and kitchen was fully stocked with any cooking tool you would ever need to make a meal in. This place really made our vacation 10 times better and we hope to stay there again!

Aluha is perfectly situated facing the beach, right across the street from the access boardwalk. Couldn't be easier! Halfway between the pier and the gorgeous Folly County Park (~5min walk either way). The house itself was clean, comfortable, secure and smartly decorated. Kitchen is roomy, modern and well equipped. Our 4yo son appreciated the games/toys left in the living room and found the bunk beds delightful. We appreciated the easy cleanup with the hose under the porch, as well as being able to watch the sunrise from the living room. King size bed was super comfortable. Policies were more than reasonable, no surprises, super-simple vacation stay! We couldn't be happier!

This home was the perfect place to call home while my family and I vacationed on Folly Beach this summer. I loved being in a home that was 'put together'- neat and CLEAN, but not over done or fussy. Clearly, it was recently renovated. The bathrooms were phenomenal- with beautiful fixtures, great water pressure, and stunning tile work. The kitchen was a generous, serene place to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner on any given day. In fact, I felt I had command of the entire house from the kitchen. I could look out at the back yard, talk to my friends visiting in the living room, and look out and see the Ocean spread out in front of me from that one vantage point. It was really well planned and designed. We had a couple of rainy days and there was plenty of room for every member of our family to spread out and 'claim'- The Indoor/ Outdoor spaces were so inviting and really invaluable. The home itself is so lovely, and yet better still- it sits directly across from the Beach Access and directly in the middle of West Ashley. We felt like we were in the center of the 'Folly Universe.' Every aspect of the island was at our fingertips and we could not have been happier.

This was my first experience renting for a weekend on Folly Beach and it was such a pleasant experience! Was able to do everything online and received great informative email reminders. This house was perfect! Clean, spacious, and directly across the street from the public beach access. Being just a few blocks from Center Street there wasn’t too much beach traffic so we had plenty of room to spread out! And we were walking distance to all of the great places to eat and shop on Center Street. This was the perfect getaway that we were hoping for!
